claimed that Samuel G. Kogar, the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) candidate, secured victories in all polling places at the YMCA precinct in Ganta City, an area purportedly considered a stronghold of independent candidate Edith Gongloe-Weh.
Verification: According to the official data published by the National Election Commission (NEC) at YMCA Precinct (voting precinct code: 33073), the results across the six polling places were as follows:
Kogar, Samuel Gongben (MDR): 90 votes
Gongloe-Weh, Edith Lianue (IND): 8 votes
Kogar, Samuel Gongben (MDR): 77 votes
Gongloe-Weh, Edith Lianue (IND): 99 votes
Kogar, Samuel Gongben (MDR): 113 votes
Gongloe-Weh, Edith Lianue (IND): 70 votes
Kogar, Samuel Gongben (MDR): 69 votes
Gongloe-Weh, Edith Lianue (IND): 101 votes
Kogar, Samuel Gongben (MDR): 57 votes
Gongloe-Weh, Edith Lianue (IND): 56 votes
Kogar, Samuel Gongben (MDR): 55 votes
Gongloe-Weh, Edith Lianue (IND): 38 votes
The data from the National Election Commission (NEC) for YMCA Precinct (code: 33073) shows mixed results across the six polling places. Samuel Gongben Kogar won in four polling places (01, 03, 05, and 06), while Edith Lianue Gongloe-Weh won in two polling places (02 and 04).
Conclusion: Based upon NEC, the official results demonstrate that Kogar did not win "all" centers at the YMCA Ganta City precinct as claimed. The data shows Kogar won four out of six polling places, while Edith Gongloe-Weh secured victories in two polling places. The claim of a complete sweep by Kogar at this precinct is partly true.
