Pidgin Fact Check

Pidgin Fact Check

With a literacy rate of less than 50%, we educate and raise awareness around misinformation and disinformation. Worst yet, English is the primary language in Liberia despite the existence of a Pidgin English (Koloqua), which is spoken by more than 80% of the population. Given that local Liberian pidgin (Koloqua) is widely spoken and understood by Liberians across the 15 counties irrespective of literacy status, the "You Gay a Teh-Eye" (Did you verify?) seeks to create Liberia's first fact-checking platform in local Liberian pidgin (Koloqua).
