Full Text: James Goodday Flomo, a Liberian journalist based in Poland, took to his official Facebook page on November 7, 2024, and posted that journalist Jallah Grayfield is currently receiving US$700 from supplementary payroll at the House of Representatives.
In the post, Flomo also demands the journalist explain to the public the reason behind the $700 he is allegedly receiving from the House of Representatives when he is not in the entity’s employ.
Grayfield served as Deputy Director General for Public Affairs at the Liberia Broadcasting System under Weah’s administration and currently works as a talk show presenter at Voice of Liberia.
As of the time we checked, the post generated 77 reactions, 91 comments, and 3 shares.
Verification: To verify this claim, TSM contacted journalist Flomo via WhatsApp to provide us with the supplementary payroll of the House of Representatives.
When contacted, Robert Haynes, Director of Communication, House of Representatives, told TSM that he could not speak to the payroll but the finance office of that body.
We also contacted journalist Jallah Grayfield via Messenger for his response to the claim. Grayfield, in his response to our inquiries, reigns insults at our staff.
Conclusion: Based on our research, TSM concludes that the post made by journalist James Samuel Goodday Flomo is correct.
