Correction: In our previous article, we stated that the Liberian Investigator was incorrect. Following additional research, we therefore correct our article and state that the online media is correct in their write-up.
When we contacted the BWI administration, they said the vice principal was not the right authority to speak to the public. According to a press release from the institution, the appropriate authority to provide information on behalf of the institution lies with the Public Relations Department according to BWI’s terms of reference.
Henceforth, the information provided by the VPA was not considered legitimate as clarified in a press release and media appearance by the Public Relations Department and students.
Meanwhile, while we can’t categorically disprove the claims made in the Liberian Investigator Publication, the source of the information provided to the paper was an authoritative source from the institution.
