Full Text: A website purportedly associated with John D. Mahama claims to offer Ghanaians 500 GHS in campaign funds.
The site displays Mahama’s photo alongside the National Democratic Congress (NDC) logo and the phrases “Trustworthy, Honest, and Reliable” and “Vote MAHAMA for President 2024. “
Mahama is a prominent Ghanaian politician who served as the President of Ghana from July 24, 2012, to January 7, 2017, following the death of his predecessor, John Evans Atta Mills.
He is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Currently, he is the presidential candidate for the NDC in the upcoming 2024 elections.
NDC is a social democratic political party in Ghana founded by Jerry Rawlings, who headed Ghana from 1981-1993.
Verification: When clicking the link, it will welcome visitors with the message “Welcome to John Dramani Mahama 500GHS campaign’s Funds For Ghanaians, Mahama is giving out 500GHS to everyone in Ghana for the second time. Answer the questions below to claim a 500 GHS cash prize.”
It prompts users to answer questions to claim a 500 GHS cash prize as to whether John Mahama is a good president. It wants to know whether you’ve supported NDC, gender, and age range. After going through the process, they congratulated us and gave us three (3) chances to win by selecting a box of which the gift is in.
To authenticate, TSM tried and won a gift, leaving 2895 gifts remaining. The website instructed sharing with 5 groups/15 friends on WhatsApp until the blue bar is full to claim cash.

Mahama officially refuted this claim using his verified Instagram account. He posted a warning labeled “FAKE” to clarify that no such funding exists.
