Social Media for weeks circulated a message with claims that the United States of America invited former President and Vice President Ellen Sirleaf and Joseph Boakai leaving out George Weah to its inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Facts: The US Embassy in an email exchange said “No speakers, performers, nor attendees have been announced at this time for the Inauguration of President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris. Those announcements will be made via https://bideninaugural.org/ and https://twitter.com/BidenInaugural
The Embassy said any information about potential attendees that are circulated prior to official announcements should be considered Unsubstantiated.
