False: The National Elections Commission (NEC) has not declared Prince Moye, Bong County, a senatorial candidate winner as stated on social media.
Moye of the Collaboration of the Political Parties, incumbent District 2 representative of Bong County is contesting against 8 candidates including Henry Yallah, incumbent senator of the Coalition for Democratic Change.
Though the NEC announced provisional results on Thursday, Prince Moye (CPP) has 1678 votes that amount to 52.6% while Henry Yallah (CDC) has 1246 votes that amount to 37.8%, it did not, however, say who was the winner.
Liberia on Tuesday, December 8, went to the special senatorial election polls to elect new 15 senators which will add to the current 15 senators.
