 Full text: “Montserrado district #10 representative Yekeh Kolubah claimed in a March 25 radio interview on OK FM that he won the highest votes in the October 10, 2023 general elections. Kolubah is a second-term representative who was first elected in 2017 and then in the 2023 elections. He said, “I won with  the highest votes among all representatives in the October 2023 elections.” The claim is here at 2:01:26 seconds.

Verification: In August 2023, Liberia celebrated 20 years of peace following a long and brutal civil conflict. The 2023 general elections were its fourth post-conflict and the first solely organized by Liberian institutions since the departure of UNMIL.

On October 10, Liberians voted for president and vice president, half of the Senate and all House of Representatives members.

Kolubah was among 885 candidates who contested for office in the House of Representatives in the 2023 elections.

Montserrado District #10 had 17 candidates, according to the National Elections Commission.

When Kolubah contested in 2017, there were 19 candidates and he won with 13,342 votes, amounting to 45.1%. For 2023, he won with 23,394, which amounts to 51.65%.

Conclusion: The district #10 representative, Yekeh Kolubah, was correct that he won with the highest votes as a representative in the October 2023 elections
