Social Media users are circulating a leaked audio with the claim that Nimba County Senator Prince Johnson described Unity Party Vice Presidential candidate Jeremiah Koung as temperamental, and aggressive.

We spotted the claim here, on Prime FM Dakpannah News, Nimba Rural TV/Nimba Broadcasting System, Jusuf Bility, and Aloysius Howe, a staff member of the Ministry of Finance, Development, and Planning, that generated the highest reactions.

Verification: When Johnson appeared on Spoon FM on April 28, 2023, he was interviewed in the absence of Grand Bassa Senator Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence Montserrado Senator Abraham Darius Dillon and All Liberia Party Benoni Urey.

Johnson, in response, said Unity Party Standard bearer Joseph Boakai decided to decide HIS VP.

The Nimba County lawmaker recalled an incident with Montserrado Senator Saah Joseph and Kargar Lawrence where she spilled tea on Joseph while they were in session.

Johnson, in his narration on Spoon (2:40:23 minutes), said Karngar Lawrence, as chair of the rule and order, is arrogant and temperamental; therefore, it would be a mistake to have chosen her as a VP pick for Boakai.

Meanwhile on April 29, Johnson in his Facebook post apologized to Karngar-Lawrence for his statement on Spoon FM.

Conclusion: The audio that was leaked on social media about Johnson is not about Koung but about Karngar-Lawerence. Beware; it has been doctored.
