Claims: The Government of Liberia has challenged the National Health Workers Union of Liberia(NAHWUL), that it is not to be a union because it does not conform with the civil service law.
The Government’s statement comes in the wake of NAHWUL Assistant Secretary-General Deemi T. Dearzrua, who announced an indefinite stay home action over the government’s alleged failure to listen to its plights and address their demands.
The Union called for the issuance of a certificate of recognition to the union by the government, an increment of health workers’ salaries in the fiscal year 2020/2021, the reclassification of health workers and payment of hazard allowance to all health workers.
