Former Gbarpolu Senator Hon Malai Gborgar died Tuesday after she was hit by a vehicle in Old Road, Gaye Town, Monrovia.
A local news outlet posted on social media, “According to reports, while the late Honorable woman was sitting in her yard, on the Old Road Gaye town Community, a private car rushed on her near the drug store and killed her instantly.”
What isn’t correct is, The former lawmaker went to visit a friend to get medication from a pharmacy and she was not in her yard as stated by the local daily.
She was elected in 2011 as representative of District #2 Gbarpolu County until 2017 when she lost to now Representative Joseph Matthews.
