It is time that Jackie Russ let the world know who he is and what he is all about.

Named Alex Nyenga at birth, the popular artist, producer and video director has been providing classics and supporting musicians at different levels for years in the Liberian music industry.

Born in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, Jackie Russ completed primary education at the St. Matthew United Methodist School in Logan Town in 2006 and enrolled at the International Institute of Computer Studies and Manpower development (IICS/MPD) in 2008, where he studied computer science and engineering.

In 2009, Jackie Russ graduated from the International Institute of Computer Studies and Manpower Development (IICS/MPD), with a diploma in computer science and a diploma in computer engineering, and started producing music from the bedroom the same year.

He thought of it as a good thing to start a production company, which would allow him to continuously grow his brand within the music industry.

This young man has been able to single-handedly start the career of top artists in the industry, and continuously support other producers, artists and videographers. He has been fortunate enough to work at the highest level in Liberia, as an official videographer, Republic of Liberia, at the UN General Assembly in New York, USA, and also did a complete documentary on the last days of the ex-president of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

Jackie Russ reflects on a time when getting a professional music video was a very difficult one, due to the lack of expertise and professional equipment. His eye-catching visuals, crafty storylines, amazing camera movements and above all, his colour grading skills, have rendered him a class above the rest.

Jackie has raised the standard of visuals to the international level and is responsible for over 70 percent of visuals out of Liberia.

Jackie Russ has proven over the years to be a force to reckon with.
